I am in the process of cutting down the amount of time I use my smartphone and think this would be a great way to do it. I want to use these headphones as a stand alone device. I have one in my cart, but thought I'd ask some questions first.
1. Can you send text messages? Voice or keyboard?
2. Maps and directions?
3. Does it have a hotspot option?
4. Can it be used without a phone? I'm okay with using a phone for setting it up, but I just want to take the SIM card from my phone and install it in the case.
5. Can it keep contacts organized and have new ones added?
6. Can the ChatPAL system be used for messaging, or option changes like the dumb phone assistants can?

1. Yes, you can send text messages with ActiveBuds. We have introduced voice-to-text functionality, and you can also type your messages.
2. ActiveBuds come equipped with a GPS app.
3. Yes, once a SIM card is inserted, you can enjoy 4G connectivity and also use the hotspot feature.
4. The ActiveBuds can be used independently. By inserting your SIM card into the ActiveBuds, they can operate standalone without the need for a smartphone.
